A celebration to remember!!

Pantego came together this past weekend to celebrate a very special milestone- the 50th Birthday of Bicentennial Park!

For five decades, Bicentennial Park has been a place where families gather, children play, neighbors connect, and memories are made. It has been the backdrop for countless community events, celebrations, and everyday moments that make Pantego such a special place to call home.

The Town celebrated this milestone in style with a fun-filled birthday party that welcomed residents of all ages. Guests enjoyed delicious treats from Mama Lama, refreshing snow cones, popcorn, giveaways from Arlington ER, and a cooling center to help beat the Texas heat. One of the highlights of the event was a pictorial history display that showcased the park’s evolution over the last 50 years, giving longtime residents a chance to reminisce while introducing newer families to the park’s rich history.

A heartfelt thank you goes to the Pantego Community Relations Board for planning such a memorable celebration. Their creativity, attention to detail, and commitment to bringing neighbors together made this event one that truly reflected the spirit of Pantego.

The Town also extends its appreciation to the Pantego Economic Development Corporation (PEDC), the Mayor, Town Council, and Town Staff for their continued investment in creating spaces and events that strengthen our community.

This year’s celebration was especially meaningful as residents also enjoyed the recent improvements made to Bicentennial Park. From refreshed amenities to enhanced gathering spaces, the park’s facelift ensures it will continue serving families for generations to come.
