Thank you for supporting our local shops and restaurants! When you #ShopPantego, the tax revenue funds service improvements. Find out more about this project to improve water taste and pressure at townofpantego.com/RO.
For every dollar spent at locally-owned businesses, an estimated 67 cents stays within our community. That’s about twice as much as when you purchase from larger chains.
Two of those cents are sales tax. When you shop and dine in Pantego, one cent of tax revenue goes to the Town’s General Fund, and the other cent is divided between PEDC projects (½ cent), the Streets Fund (¼ cent), and property tax relief (¼ cent).
Tax revenue and recirculating dollars add up to huge impacts. In the past year, it helped us to replace the playgrounds at Bicentennial, add battery back-ups to stoplights, update stop bars and crosswalks in neighborhoods, move forward on system-wide water filtering (this project), purchase a new ambulance, and countless smaller projects.
These improvements not only benefit you today but also serve to protect and increase your personal property values long-term. Thank you for strengthening our community by choosing to Shop Pantego.
